WELL DESIGNED ROUTES
Riders get to enjoy 3 days of exclusively selected routes only allowed to be ridden during the Lormar events.
3-Nights tented accommodation along with 2 x comfy mattresses for Teams to share and 1 x mattress for solo riders.
HANDMADE KAROO MEDAL
Each finisher receives a unique handmade Karoo “medal” made by local artists.
All Tour meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch are included in your entry.
EQUIPPED TOUR VILLAGE
Well equipped Tour village includes two bar stations, a rider chill zone and ample Karoo open spaces.
Trained medical personnel at each stage to handle any emergencies that may occur.
Enjoy permanent ablution facilities. Remember you’re in the Karoo so please use water sparingly.
EN ROUTE SUPPORT
Staffed water points serving everything from water to koeksisters! Backup vehicle to assist should you not be able to ride any further.

Yes, the Lormar Mini is a favourite amongst family and beginner riders to be part of the Karoo mountain biking experience. Non riders are welcome to book a meal ticket and extra accommodation for the weekend.

Yes, but only until 21 July 2018. Thereafter clothing orders are placed and no changes can be made.
Clothing sizes are selected during the online entry process before checking out and paying.
Please note that the new substituted participant will receive the clothing size of the initial outgoing participant, unless this is changed before 21 July 2018.

Our routes are very well marked but you’re welcome to ride with a GPS as we have route maps to download.
• A 3-man tent to share with your partner or for yourself when participating as a Solo rider.
• A comfy foam mattress.
• You will need to bring your own bedding and pillow. This apply to the Luxury Tented accommodation as well.
It’s always a good idea to have your medical aid card with you. Although signal is not always available, it is wise to take your phone with you.
Yes, however please bring your own chargers.
Theft is not really a problem in the Karoo, but if it makes you feel more relaxed, then you are welcome to do so.
All substitutions made are charged at R250 per rider.
Entries are transferable until 7 September 2018.
Refunds up to 30 April will be refunded at 75% of entry fee.
Refunds from 1 May will be refunded at 50% of entry fee.
No refunds after 1 August 2018.
First payment – 50% of Entry (Due immediately to secure your entry)
Second payment – 25% of Entry (Due 30 days after entry)
Third payment – 25% (Due 60 days after entry)
You will have 7 days to make your payment after the due date. If you miss a payment you will forfeit your entry.
Payment plan options are non refundable.
No payment plan available after 31 May 2018.
NO EXCEPTIONS (INCLUDING MEDICAL).
Substitutions for 2018 can be done up until 7 September 2018 at an admin fee of R250 per substitution.
Either team member can enter the substitution application details.
Credit card and EFT payments will be accepted for the substitutions.
Please do not assume the substitution is complete until payment has been made and the Substitution Confirmation email has been received. All team participants including the race organiser will be notified of substitutions.
Please note shirt size changes can only be done before 21 July 2018. Later than that, substitutions will receive shirts as ordered by original entry.
To make the substitution follow these steps:
Log in to the entry system here using your ID/passport number.
You will see a summary screen of your team details.
Click the “Substitute” button.
Click on the “Add” button.
Select the person from the “Current Team Members” box whom you wish to substitute and ensure they are added to the “Members to be Substituted” box.
Click the “Confirm” button.
Enter the ID and details of the new team member.
A summary screen confirming that the substitution has taken place will appear – this means your substitution will be saved.
Payment can now be made immediately or at a later stage.
You will receive an email confirming acceptance of this substitution.
If you are the second rider, you won’t be able to pay and you will need to contact your partner to make payment.
If you are the Team Lead, click on the “Proceed to Checkout” button to make the payment.
